Colin Rose of Five of Hearts Magic Productions… H.M.S. Victory was the’ Beloved’ Flag Ship of Admiral Nelson and played a crucial part in The Battle of Trafalgar, when she was placed in ‘dry dock’ she was much too heavy and large sections of her internal wood was removed in order for restoration work to take place…the wood is now being used to finance further restoration and preservation work and to fund her current role as ‘‘figurehead’ and Naval Museum. We were fortunate enough to acquire some of this very special ’Victory Oak’ and celebrate this unique and historical event with our “Trafalgar Collection” of Magical Apparatus combining the launch of this exclusive collection with The Magic Circle Centenary in July 2005. "The Nelson Compendium" (A Limited Edition of One Bespoke Set of Boxed Magic Tricks) The Outer Box is of Seasoned Lincolnshire Church Yew (circa 300 years old), 'Jointed' with Brass Hinges & Lift up Lid with Brass Five of Hearts Logo Stamp Disc for Provenance. Inside the Lid there is a Copper Plate which shows 'The King's Mark' and a Five of Hearts Logo. Certificate of Provenance for the Wood & Copper Sale and Signed Contents List by the Maker included. Box Contents
NOTE: All copper used are from a Copper Sheet taken from the hull of the H.M.S. Victory. None of the copper has been polished, rather Colin has used a Jeweler's Technique to lift the original green to a 'pitted' and authentic look in keeping with the material & it's origin
